Biography
Yavuz Selim Yükselir is the founder and Chairman of the Board of Yükselir Group. A psychology graduate of Istanbul University, he took over his late father's position as Chairman of the Board of Turkey's first integrated meat plant and, from 2001, expanded that industrial base into a multi-sector group of companies.
Under his leadership the Group has developed interests in petroleum, energy, aviation, logistics, marina, information technology, tourism, construction and livestock, with business centres in Istanbul, Madrid, Frankfurt and Düsseldorf. On 20 January 2021 he was appointed a Special Ambassador for Tourism by the United Nations World Tourism Organization at its Executive Council meeting in Madrid.

Yükselir Group was established in 2001. Its origins lie in Turkey's first integrated meat plant, from which the Group expanded into new areas of investment. Over the following years the Group has been active in crude oil, jet fuel, LNG, natural gas, renewable energy, logistics, marina, information technology, tourism, construction and livestock.
Today the Group concentrates on its core business: the management of oil wells, natural gas and renewable energy investments, and the development of hotels, a more recent line of business. Its principal business centres are established in Istanbul, Madrid, Frankfurt and Düsseldorf.
The Group conducts all of its business through its group and partner companies. Each company operates under its own management, within the Group's common principles of honesty, integrity and transparency.
